About Us
We, Ravi Industries, are a professionally managed small scale industry in India engaged in the manufacturing of polyethylene T-shirt bags and Garbage bags from the year 1998. We cater to the various market segments spread across the country.
Our core team of management and manufacturing professionals has individually 12-15 years of experience in the extrusion process industry and have acquired in depth knowledge about the perfection in manufacturing the world class T-shirt bags both tailor made for the retail market and customers specific applications. We ventured in to developing of a process methodology for making/manufacturing the conventional non-degradable T-shirt bags made out of HDPE and LLDPE. INTO A BIODEGRADABLE BAGS.Our thrust was on working on a solution to eliminate the secondary packaging plastic waste,
While we observed that world over there were certain process methodology/inventions/claims about the availability of starch/cellulose/lactic acid based compositions with polyethylene to make a degradable plastic. We found to our dismay that Neither all of the above or none of them could effectively break down the polymer matrix and make the polyethylene completely biodegrade in the soil environment. While having decided to adopt a different road map to achieve a possible complete biodegradation of plastic film we approached hundreds of scientists/acadamician and researchers in the field of chemistry and polymer technology to explore the possibility and process ability of an enzyme and bacteria based substrate to effectively penetrate in to the polyethylene chain structure.
After having theoretically concluded that polyethylene can undergo a change in its chemical structure with enzyme in to it the inculcation of proteins and sodium salts along with a composting agent to enable the polymer particles to become a food for soil bacteria was seriously looked in to. We successfully narrowed down the enzyme, protein, bacteria compound drawn mainly from natural resources and medicinal plants to make this process methodology/technology non-hazardous and non-toxic. It was in the year 2001-2002 that we successfully formulated the blending for an effective process module in the conventional processing machines that is film extrusions without recommending any modifications there to.
The clinical trials/tests initially revealed us polyethylene film undergoes a definite change under environmental conditions. Furthermore the enzyme bacteria composition enabled polyethylene film withstand the biodegradable norms as specified by world governing bodies enumerated in protocols to be classified as fully biodegradable plastic packaging materials due to the release of CO2 and water during and after the process of biodegradation in the soil environment.
We are now offering this TECHNOLOGY to worldwide customers and associates for a highly cost effective solution in eliminating the secondary packaging plastic waste.
